For our anniversary, we spent the day in Salt Lake City while Aunt Libby watched our little princess. We had a great time, and Libby said she was great! We were very proud parents. As most of you know, when you have a little one, you can’t stop thinking about them- even when you are out for your anniversary. We went to a Christian book store on our way home with our little one in tow to pick up a gift for my Godchild, Alison. While we were there we just happened to pass by some of the Veggie Tales movies. We picked up a couple that were on sale for our girl. (We aren’t really big on TV, and we are pretty careful to not let her watch it yet… but Veggies Tales are something that we are alright with having on in the background because they teach some great values. We also like that she can learn some of the scripture stories early… not to mention how cute are talking vegetables?!) Anyway, we brought them home, wrapped Alison’s gift, made Peanut- who is now more like a Brazil nut- a bottle and settled down for the evening. We popped in a Veggie movie and she couldn’t take her eyes off of it. She smiled at the veggies when they would sing. She looked at us like she had discovered the coolest thing ever. So, we let her watch one while she was eating her last bottle for the night. Needless to say I think we have found something great for our family, and tonight it was confirmed. Kind of like Kix cereal; it is kid tested AND mother approved.
